Week 7 in the 2023/2024 eGolf Tour witnessed the return of some familiar faces to the Lion’s Den, with Thomas Detry and Anirban Lahiri making their first appearances of the season. In round 1, Detry immediately challenged the Els course, carding a superb 7 under par 65 from the Lion’s Den Championship tees. Week 6 winner Mathieu Decottignies Lafon, aka Finger, was on the hunt for back-to-back victories firing a 5 under par 67 in round 1.
Anirban came alive in round 2, shooting the low round of the day with a of 6 under par 66 but could only manage fourth place after a slow start during Thursday’s round 1. Gary Hurley showed continued consistency with back-to-back rounds of 4 under 68, but Detry’s hot start allowed him to cruise to victory by 1 shot over Hurley after a second round 70.
