Week 12 for eGolf Tour brought some of the best players in the world male and female! LPGA Tour player Georgia Hall of England joined us for some off season competition, it was a pleasure to have Hall join us and show us some spectacular golf from the former Women’s British Open Champion. Another LPGA player, Olivia Cowan of Germany put on a display with some great scoring and one of the most effortless swings we have seen. Amongst the field we had recent DP World Tour card graduate Conor Purcell of Ireland joining us for the first time, golfing legend of India Shiv Kapur and English LET player Lily Humphreys.
Round 1 taking place at The Els Club saw Hall score a 67 giving her the clubhouse lead closely followed by Cowan and Paul Dunne with a 68. Brun of France shot a respectful 70 which pushed him up the leaderboard too 4th place out of a field of 11 players this week.
The girls were on fire for the final round especially Georgia Hall who made birdie after birdie posting a 66 for round 2 giving her an amazing 6 shot lead of -11. Cowan finished in second place receiving 3300 points on the OOM and scoring -5 for the rounds combined, well done ladies! We had a three way tie for 3rd place with Dunne, Purcell and Chris Rahm all shooting 3 under par. We look forward to another week of eGolf and taking place at Yas Links again next week for round 1.
